RoughRiders Foundation Scholarship Program
 Each year, the Frisco RoughRiders Foundation honors high school seniors through its scholarship award program. Entering the sixth year of the program, the RoughRiders Foundation has donated over $25,000 in scholarship monies to local students.
High school seniors who have participated in at least one athletic activity during their senior year are eligible for consideration for the 2008 scholarship awards. Each award is for $1,000 toward the student’s college education costs. Last year, we recognized students from Frisco ISD, Mesquite ISD, Garland ISD and Denison ISD.

To be considered, students must submit the following 1) completed application form; 2) essay; 3) at least one letter of reference and 4) a copy of their academic transcript.

Frisco ISD Teacher Recognition Program
The Frisco RoughRiders teacher recognition program is aimed at recognizing Frisco Independent School District educators for outstanding dedication and work on behalf of the community and students of Frisco. Teachers are recognized for their work throughout the entire school year.
Teachers will be honored monthly during the RoughRiders season, with two different application deadlines. In order to be honored in April or May, applications must be received by Friday, March 28, 2008. The deadline for June, July, and August Teachers of the Month is Friday, May 30, 2008. One teacher will be selected and recognized each month during the RoughRiders 2008 season.
Parents, students, PTA members, and fellow educators and administrators are encouraged to nominate outstanding teachers. Educators receiving the award will receive four tickets and Founders Club passes for a game at Dr Pepper Ballpark in addition to a VIP tour of the ballpark, on field recognition, and a $500 donation in their name. The donation will be split between the teacher’s school and the Frisco Education Foundation. In addition, the individual nominating the winning teacher will receive four tickets to attend the game at which their teacher is honored.
